Coaching with Matt Beimers
What coaching actually looks like
A coaching session is a conversation, not advice. You bring a real situation from your work or your life, and Matt asks the questions that help you see it clearly and decide what to do next.
What a session is
Sessions are one to one and held on Zoom, so you can meet Matt from wherever you are. Each one starts with whatever is most pressing: a decision, a conflict, a habit you want to build, a conversation you keep putting off.
In Matt’s own words: “I am an excellent listener who cares deeply for my clients. I ask strong questions that invite others to reflect on current practice while also setting specific goals on how to strengthen their leadership.”
How it works, step by step
Start with a free intro call
Twenty minutes on Zoom. You name what you are working on, Matt explains how he coaches, and you both decide whether it is a fit. No cost and no obligation.
Set the direction together
The first sessions name what you want to be different and turn that into specific goals, in your words, not his.
Work the goals, session by session
Each session reviews how things went, works on whatever is current, and ends with next steps you chose yourself.
What coaching is not
It is not consulting
Matt will not hand you a plan. The answers come from you; his job is to ask the questions that get you to them.
It is not counselling or therapy
Coaching looks forward at goals and practice. If you need clinical support, Matt will say so and help you find it.
It is not a course
There is no curriculum to sit through and no homework you did not choose. The agenda is yours.
Who it is for
Matt coaches people who lead, in and out of the workplace: principals and teachers moving into leadership, non-profit directors, managers, and anyone carrying responsibility for other people. His thirty years as a teacher, assistant principal and principal make school leadership his home ground, but the work fits anyone whose days are shaped by the people they lead.
What ICF certified means
ACC stands for Associate Certified Coach, a credential awarded by the International Coaching Federation. Earning it takes at least 60 hours of coaching education, 100 hours of coaching real clients, and 10 hours of mentor coaching. It means the person across from you has been trained and assessed against a published standard.
What it costs
Five sessions cost $500 and ten sessions cost $900. You can start with five and decide about the rest afterwards.
Five sessions
$500
Ten sessions
$900
If you work for a non-profit, ask about adjusted pricing.
Try one conversation first
The free 20 minute intro call exists so you never have to commit before you know. Bring one real situation and see how the conversation goes.
